R 008 - MCP PROGRAM - Maintenance control programs (MCP) must be made available to elevator personnel for all elevators. Instructions for locating the maintenance records of each unit shall be posted on the controller. All pertinent records shall remain on-site. The MCP Program shall include the following: ON-SITE DOCUMENTS PROVIDED IN HARD COPY - The following records and documents specified shall be written and permanently kept on-site in the machine room, machinery space, control room, control space, or in the means necessary for test in hard copy for each unit and available to elevator personnel: Up-to-date wiring diagrams, evacuation procedures, record of oil usage, fire fighters test log, procedures for inspections and tests not described in ASME A17.2, all procedures specifically identified in ASME A17.7/CSA B44.7, procedure for cleaning of a car and hoistway transparent enclosures, check out procedures as required per ASME A 17.1. 8.6. Acceptance test and periodic test records. ELECTRONIC OR HARD COPY - The following records and documents specified shall be available on-site for elevator personnel review either in hard copy or electronic format for each unit: all maintenance, repair, cleaning, lubrication and replacement of elevator components, including records of callbacks shall be maintained and shall include the description of reported trouble, dates, time, and corrective action(s) taken. Instructions for locating the maintenance records of each unit shall be posted on the controller. All records shall be maintained and retained for 5 years per ASME A17.1-8.6.( Up to date records ) .
