M 016 - RESTORE EQUIPMENT TO ORIGINAL CODE - Shall repair equipment according to the code under which it was installed. See ASME A17.1 - 8.6 ( unit low on hydraulic oil, cavitating going into the top floor ) ( 3/6/25 )
MR 021 - ABC FIRE EXTINGUISHER - A properly tested and maintained ABC type fire extinguisher of adequate size shall be provided in the machine rooms, control rooms, and machinery spaces and control spaces per ASME A17.1-8.6.1.6.5. The fire extinguisher in the machine rooms, control rooms, and machinery spaces and control spaces is to be of sufficient size to allow workers within the room to exit safely in the case of a fire within the machine rooms / control rooms occurs during their maintenance procedures. The extinguisher is not meant for usage for returning to the room to fight the fire. The extinguisher is to be located in an area of the room that will allow easy access to the extinguisher by workers. It is recommended that when possible, the extinguisher be located near the jamb side of the elevator room entrance door. ( last inspected Feb 2016 ) ( 3/6/25 )

R 001 - FIRE FIGHTERS EMERGENCY OPERATION LOG - All elevators provided with Firefighters Emergency Operation shall be subjected monthly, by authorized personnel, to Phase I recall by use of the key switch, and a minimum of one-floor operation on Phase II. Deficiencies shall be corrected. A record of findings shall be available to elevator personnel and the authority having jurisdiction per ASME A17.1-8.6.11.1.
